Appoints Stefano Scandelli as General Manager to manage business unit globally.
RELEX Solutions today announced the formation of a Consumer Goods & Production business unit which will be led by Stefano Scandelli, serving as General Manager. RELEX created this business unit in light of the acquisition of Optimity, announced yesterday, to support the continued development and innovation of Optimity’s planning, optimization, and production scheduling capabilities and their integration to RELEX’s leading supply chain planning platform by launching a fully dedicated and synchronized sales, delivery, engineering, customer success and support team.
“I am thrilled to lead this new business unit that will help us accelerate our vision towards minimizing all wasted cost, effort and product in the end-to-end consumer goods supply chain,” said Scandelli. “I look forward to building on the strong base we already have at RELEX starting from happy and satisfied customers, and extending to operations with expertise-driven sales, customer-obsessed delivery and fast product development and innovation. We already have a very strong planning offering for production companies, but I know we can further establish stronger supply chain integration and collaboration between suppliers and retailers in leading to further efficiencies.”
Stefano Scandelli has been with RELEX since mid 2018, serving as Senior Vice President of Sales for EMEA and APAC. Since joining, he successfully built the EMEA sales organization, launched the APAC sales organization, and developed several supply chain transformation programs with retailers globally. He spent over 15 years at JDA (now Blue Yonder), where he held leadership roles focused on sales for Europe, serving both the retail and manufacturing markets.
“This new business unit is integral to bringing together RELEX’s scale and experience working with world’s largest companies and their supply chains and Optimity’s unparalleled strength of truly building optimized supply and production plans maximizing profit in even the most complex production supply chains. The organization also enables the fastest possible speed in learning from all our customers and continuous high-speed innovation to keep us as a product leader generating maximal value to our customers.” said Mikko Karkkainen, RELEX CEO.
